These creative guidelines and procedures were designed to ensure that our client’s email campaigns are delivered according to all Federal Legislation and in a professional and timely matter. Please review the following material and apply all guidelines to any creative that you wish to be placed by TheMediaCrew.com. If you have any additional questions please direct them to your marketing consultant.
HTML Guidelines
- HTML creative needs to be submitted exactly the way you would like it to look with links in place
- HTML version of the campaign – needs to be in a HTML format, .html or .htm (TheMediaCrew.com. does not accept HTML files created in MS-Word)
Advertiser’s physical address must be included in the HTML message
- A clear and conspicuous way for a recipient to remove themselves from future mailings from Advertiser along with directions on how to do so must be included in HTML message (This can be as simple as an email address)
- If images are being hosted through TheMediaCrew.com., then please send the images along with the HTML creative
- If your company is going to host the images than please include the full URL of each image in the HTML code
- Total file size needs to be less than 12k
Text Guidelines
- Text version of the campaign - should be in an ASCII text format (.txt)
- Colors, bold text, and italics will not be accepted
- TheMediaCrew.com. recommends that the body of your text should be no longer than 60 characters per line and limited to 1-to-2 paragraphs
- Advertiser’s physical address must be included in the text message
- A clear and conspicuous way for a recipient to remove themselves from future mailings from Advertiser along with directions on how to do so must be included in text message (This can be as simple as an email address)
- Total file size needs to be less then 12k
From Line
- From line will represent company or list that is being used for campaign
Subject Line
- Subject line needs to be less than 10 words
- The subject line must not mislead recipient about a material fact regarding the content of such message
Opt-out Mechanism
- An opt-out mechanism will be added to all creative to ensure that subscribers have a clear and conspicuous notice of the opportunity to decline receiving further electronic mail messages from company or list that is being used for campaign
- Advertiser must also include a clear and conspicuous way for a recipient to remove themselves from future mailings from Advertiser along with directions on how to do so (This can be as simple as an email address)
Advertiser Suppression List
- TheMediaCrew.com. requires that Advertiser also keep a suppression list of recipients who have specifically requested to not receive further offers from Advertiser
- Prior to each mailing Advertiser is required to provide TheMediaCrew.com. with suppression list to ensure CAN SPAM compliance
TheMediaCrew.com. can assist Advertiser with the development and implementation of such suppression list
Submitting Creative
- All creative must be submitted via email and is subject to TheMediaCrew.com’s legal department’s approval
- Creative must be sent in final format
- Please allow up to 24 to 48 hours from when TheMediaCrew.com. receives creative to test broadcast
- Any changes that need to be made to final creative may take up to 24 hours to complete
- Your final approval of test broadcast must be stated in writing and sent via email or fax
- Should more than 1 creative be needed to fulfill campaign, send all versions at the same time
- Final broadcast will be completed within 48 hours from test broadcast approval
Tracking
- Tracking is set up for all campaigns
- Should you choose to disable tracking, please notify TheMediaCrew.com. when submitting creative
